Collection of VTOC and SMF Data

Before DR/VFI can analyze the files to determine which ones are critical, information in the form of Volume Table of Contents (VTOC) listings, JCL library cross reference listings and System Management Facility (SMF) data must be collected. This data provides DR/VFI with the necessary information to determine which files exist, which applications use a particular set of files, and resource information for the application environment and synchronize backups for your particular recovery method.
